ITDA actually restricts divers certification levels to their training environment!
For example; An ITDA Resort Scuba Open Water Diver MAY NOT dive in cold water but MUST take a Dry Suit Specialist program upgrade.
If they complete an Open Water Scuba course in cold water with a Dry Suit they may also dive in resort environments!
ITDA offers more education. As we educate divers from Open Water Scuba Level in basic decompression theory and diving physiology.

As we can offer more supervised dives to follow on from the experience dives and can even offer "Basic" certifications in specialist levels which are credited to our "Open Water Scuba Diver" certification or as an Upgrade within 2 years... e-certification is FREE on application...

With additional dives required before progressing to higher levels for example our "Open Water Diver" upgrade to "Scuba Rescue Diver", or Advanced Scuba requires a minimum of 10 Open Water Dives experience and begins with certification of our rescue program as a specialist level from 2023.
Incorporated in our advanced diver program (at no extra cost!) and is available as an additional certification as "Advanced Rescue Open Water Diver", which requires 30+ Open Water Dives experience... Depending on skills assessment level... Our Instructors may issue "Upgrades Based on Experience"...
The ITDA Instructor will assess skills and evaluate theory development / knowledge and advise area's for improvement prior to certification.
